This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Chicago - even better than the ones I tried on Devon! They have an amazing vegetarian selection. I've tried almost all of their vegetarian specials, but my favorites are the Paneer Makhani, Palak Paneer, and Matar Paneer. Cozy, laid back atmosphere, but I mostly pick up on my way home from work or order delivery. I eat here at least twice a month, sometimes more. The samosas, garlic naan, papadum and raita are excellent and I always splurge on the gulab jamun!
I am incredibly sad to be moving out of the delivery zone for this joint. No more piping hot samosas, chicken vindaloo, baigan masala, garlic naan, and chicken pakora on our regular scheduled week-night programming. This, hands down, is the best Indian takeout/delivery place in East Lakeview.

I don't understand why this place is not well rated. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We got the beef samosas, saag gosht, lamb vindaloo, and garlic naan. We were pleased with the food. As for price, these prices are not bad. We have been to other places like India House downtown and Hema's kitchen and these prices are comparable. We'd come back.
Excellent food!! All the "food" reviews were spot on! We had the Chicken Masala and the spicy Lamb. The beef samosas were also a treat. You must accompany your meal with the garlic naan. I will say the service complaints were unfounded. Our service was great!! Also the restaurant interior is way better than the photos show. Oh by the way BYOB!! A great experience!! Thank you!!

We picked up a great meal from here recently and felt compelled to write a review. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Makhni, garlic naan, and the beef samosas. My car was so filled by garlic aroma that my mouth was literally watering by the time I got our order home. The naan was so good I contemplated rubbing it all over my face. The samosas were by far the largest I've had anywhere, flavor and texture were very good also. Both of the chicken dishes were very good, however I would not recommend ordering them together since they tasted very similar. I wouldn't mind if it had been a little bit spicier, but it was good anyways. The person taking the phone order was very polite as was the younger guy we picked the order up from.
